Jaime Torres Bodet Theater

The Jaime Torres Bodet Gallery and Theatre is a cultural space with history and constant presence in the artistic life of Guadalajara. Located to the southwest of the monument to the Hero Children, this headquarters has evolved over the years, adding activities and renewing its vocation as a meeting point for the performing and visual arts. Its origin dates back to 1965, when it was inaugurated as the Municipal Art Gallery. Years later, in 1991, it was reopened on the occasion of the 44th anniversary of the foundation of the city, reaffirming its importance as a cultural site. Since then, it has maintained an active and diverse programming that has grown year by year.
