Our Lady of the Tabernacle Parish

Located at 925 Fry Antonio Mayor Avenue, in the Alcalde Barranques colony, the Parish of Our Lady of the Sagrarian is one of the most emblematic of Guadalajara. This temple stands out for its architecture and history, which is imbued with art and devotion. In its walls, you can admire the monumental work of the tapatian artist Alfonso de Lara Gallardo, who created an impressive Via Cruces that invites the faithful to reflect on the sacrifice of Jesus Christ for the salvation of humanity. On the main altar of the church stands the image of Our Lady of the Sagrarian, a figure venerated in both Guadalajara and Tamazula. This image was given to the temple in the 1950s to the Pbro. Luis Sánchez Araiza, who, in his role as Vicar of the Sanctuary of Our Lady of Guadalupe, received the command of Cardinal José Garibi Rivera to begin the construction of the parish in 1953.
