Saint Francis Xavier of Las Colinas Parish

The Temple designed by the Architect Julio de la Peña in 1989 is a distinctive architectural work, being highlighted by its triangular steel structure, which surrounds a simple but solemn interior space. The structure culminates in a large window, which allows a clear view of the sky and presents the image of a cross in contrast, creating an atmosphere of deep spirituality and reflection. In the temple atrium, there is a sculpture by Cardinal Juan Jesús Posada Ocampo (1926- 1993), made by sculptor Juan José Méndez. This sculpture pays tribute to the figure of the Cardinal, who was one of the most important religious personalities in the city and in the Mexican church. This temple not only stands out for its modern architecture, but also for its deep connection to the recent history of Guadalajara and the Catholic Church.
