Place description
In the heart of the historical center, in front of the main square, one of the most photographed icons of Lagos de Moreno stands: the Parish of Our Lady of the Assumption. Its majestic facade of pink quarry and its high towers create a perfect postcard, especially at sunset, when light highlights every architectural detail. Built in the 18th century, it is a jewel of the New Hispanic Baroque that surprises both on the outside and inside. When entering, the visitor discovers a wide and harmonious space, with altarpieces and details that reflect the historical wealth of the city.
