Parish of Our Lady of La Pursima Concepción

With more than a century of history, the temple of La Pursima Concepción - lovingly known for the tapatíos as "La Concha" - is located in the heart of the Guadalajara Centre, on Alvaro Obregón Street. This temple is part of the Vicaría and Decanato of San José de Analco, an area full of history and religious tradition. It was erected as a parish on May 14, 1917, becoming the number forty-eight of the Archdiocese of Guadalajara. Over the years, it has been a spiritual and community reference point for generations of faithful who come to it both for devotion and for the symbolic and architectural value that it represents within the urban landscape of the historical center.
