La Revolución Park (Red Park)

The Revolution Park or Red Park located on the Federalism road in the place where the garden of the Convent of Carmen was formerly located, and the Escobedo Penitentiary was later built. The park is the work of the brothers Juan José and Luis Barragán and was opened on 28 February 1935 by Governor Salvador Allende Rojas. In 1959 the statues of Presidents Francisco I. Madero and Venustiano Carranza were installed, which are located at the ends of the park divided by Vallarta Avenue.
