Ávila Camacho Park

The Avila Camacho Park is one of the green spaces most loved by the tapatíos, a place with history, nature and community life. Founded in 1966 during the administration of Governor Francisco Medina Ascencio, this park has even older roots, as in its land was the historic Zaquipan Dam. Over the years, the park was recovered and remodeled during the 2011 Pan American Games in Guadalajara, modernizing itself without losing its original essence. With an area of 3.6 hectares, the Ávila Camacho Park offers a natural break in the middle of the city. It is ideal for an outdoor day, as it has picnic areas, a skatepark for lovers of skateboard and urban sports, as well as a beautiful artificial lake where you can appreciate local flora and fauna, creating a quiet and educational environment for visitors of all ages.
