Mezquitan Pantheon

Opened on November 2, 1896, the Pantheon of Mezquitan opened its doors to replace the historic Pantheon of Bethlehem. With an extension close to 25 hectares, it stands out for its emblematic cast of forged iron with details of skulls and crossed bones, giving a solemn and artistic air to this site of collective memory. The pantheon preserves a rich architectural and cultural history. In one of its main cruises, which mark the limits of the French and German colonies, a majestic chapel-shaped monument is erected that keeps the remains of Lord Jesus Flores, former owner of the famous House of the Dogs. This construction is one of the most emblematic points of the place because of its historical and symbolic value.
