Guadalajara City Hall

Guadalajara City Hall, also known as the Municipal Palace, is a majestic quarry building that began its construction in 1949 and was opened in 1952. Its façade features a series of portals adorned with Tuscan columns and highlights the city's shield of arms in high relief, symbolizing its rich history. Inside, the central courtyard reflects the true tapatian feeling, with impressive paintings by artist Gabriel Flores illustrating the foundation of the city, made in 1963. In addition to being an administrative centre where the offices of the Municipal Presidency are located, this building is a testimony to the architectural talent of Vicente Mendiola and Marcelino Rodríguez Orozco, and a place of cultural interest for those who visit Guadalajara.
