Raúl Anguilla Mura Museum

The MURA, Raúl Anguilla Art Museum is the most recent museum in the municipality of Guadalajara, opened on June 25, 2003. This space is dedicated to modern and contemporary art and preserves an important collection of Raúl Anguilla, one of the most prominent artists in the state of Jalisco, who named the museum. In addition to the work of Anguiano, the MURA houses the City Guadalajara Collection, which includes pieces of renowned artists such as Leonora Carrington, Rufino Tamayo, Gabriel Flores, Javier Campos, Marcos Huerta and Roberto Ramírez Acal, among others. The museum has three exhibition rooms, a multi-purpose room with capacity for 70 people, and a room dedicated to the smaller ones called the "Eguiano Child." In addition, it has an outside terrace and 16 murals on its facade, created by recognized artists, which makes MURA a reference in the artistic scene of Guadalajara.
