Monument to Ramón Corona

It is a sculpture raised on a pedestal of quarry and rock, the figure is made of bronze. General Ramón Corona, a jalisciense hero who triumphed over the French and stopped the "Tigre de Alica" attacks on Guadalajara. The statue was built in 1896, along with the plates as well as the sculptures of eagles with the wings deployed around the monument. The pedestal contains the shields of the State of Jalisco, of the city of Guadalajara and the national shield.
