Mexican Army and Air Force Public Library

The Mexican Army and Air Force Library, located in the historic building known as "La Casa de la Campana," opened on 12 June 1999. This emblematic place, built in 1821, is famous for being the place where the main bell of the Metropolitan Cathedral of Guadalajara was fused. Since its opening as a library, it has become an important centre of educational and cultural resources for the community. With a collection of 42,513 works, the library is specially designed to serve students at the basic and higher secondary levels. Among its collections are texts in Braille system, audiovisual materials and a video and library. In addition, it offers Internet services, equity loan and user guidance, creating an accessible and enriching environment for all visitors. The Mexican Army and Air Force Library not only promotes access to knowledge, but also serves as a space for learning and cultural development for the new generations.
