Basilica of Our Lady of the Rosary of Talpa

The Basilica of Our Lady of the Rosary of Talpa is the spiritual and symbolic heart of Talpa of Allende, as well as one of the most important Marian shrines in Mexico. Since the 18th century, this enclosure has been the destination of millions of pilgrims who come to give devotion to the Virgin of the Rosary, popularly known as the Virgin of Talpa, in one of the country's most rooted traditions of faith. Its sober and remarkable architecture is integrated into the surroundings of the historical centre, becoming an immediate reference point for visitors and faithful. Inside it is preserved the venerated image, considered miraculous, around which countless stories of hope, thanks and promises have been woven.
